Local Berean Beekeepers

Ward 4, Berea, Ohio

Sue and Dennis Billow, who live on E. Bridge Street are active beekeepers.  They take care of 6 hives and produce about 300 pounds (30 gallons) of honey every year.

Sue, a Berea resident for 45 years, is a retired Cleveland School Teacher who stays active as a substitute teacher.  Sue learned how to be a beekeeper from her dad who was a local farmer.

Sue’s husband, Dennis is an Army Veteran who was stationed in Panama prior to Vietnam.

Both Sue and Dennis are members of the Sandusky River Valley Beekeepers Association.  They love taking care of their bees.  They bottle their honey (raw, unfiltered) and sell it to Bereans and friends at reasonable prices (about $9/ pound)

If you would like local honey or beeswax you can contact Sue at (216) 924-1010.

Hello! My name is Mark, I'm a Berea resident and owner of the Law Office of Mark Dent. I’ve been preparing estate plans since 2003 when I served in the Army as a JAG Attorney. I’m a graduate of Ohio Northern Law School and have bachelor's degrees in both Political Science and Computer Science. My wife and I enjoy running 5ks and exploring the Metro Parks. I am located around the corner from Dick’s Bakery, which I blame for my poor run times and an extra 5 pounds around my midsection. Unfortunately, their donuts are some of the best Ohio has to offer!
