Submitted Candidate Introduction
Signed Beres's Good Government Pledge
Hello!
My name is Erika. I am married and have 2 children who grew up in Berea.
During the past three years, I followed Berea City Council and worked to bring our community together. By engaging my neighbors we worked to prevent Omni Corporation from building a massive five-story building on the shores of Coe Lake. Working with other community organizers, we continue to advance the needs of Bereans, addressing basement flooding, neighborhood development, and other community issues.
I also Co-founded Sustainable Berea. Sustainable Berea manages a yearly clean-up of Coe Lake and works to connect people with the resources in our community. Our goal is to promote economic development in a sustainable way for our enjoyment and the enjoyment of future generations.
Some of my goals as a councilwoman are:
- Spearhead registration with the National Register of Historic Places
- Champion innovative infrastructure that manages our natural resources
- Connect constituents to city resources
- Promote arts and culture
I will work hard as your councilwoman and make sure we all have a voice in city government.
I would appreciate your vote this November!

Thanks!
