Having a blended family of seven children ages 25 to 2 ½, my wife Sarah and I have a vested interest in the success of our schools.  I see many great things in our schools, however, in my opinion, things are trending in the wrong direction and I do not see enough people willing to stand up and ‘right the ship’.

There are two major influencers that motivated me to run.

1. Observing the demonization of dissenting opinions.  This is happening all around us today even in our district and specifically on our school board.  
2. Parenting is difficult enough as there are many contributing factors, but now I find that we are struggling not only to combat the overwhelming bias in traditional and social media but we are now battling an aligned ideology in the schools as well.
