Unlock the Power of Choice: 63 Voter’s Guides, 437 Candidates Await on MyVotersGuide.com

Hey, Berea News!  It’s been a while.  I’ve spent the last two years trying to build on the Voter’s Guide I created for Berea News.  The result?: 63 Voter’s Guides and 437 Candidates – all in one place. But I need your help.  In order to make an impact, Candidates need to know you are paying attention.  I have a button next to each of the candidates so you can check the ones you like and let them know you found them on a website that requires accountability and commitment.  More on that later-

Click on any of the above links and learn about the issues and see what candidates are running for local office.  Be sure to click on the candidates you like as it helps them know they have support.

But Why Should You Use MyVotersGuide.com?

You know, over the past couple of years, I’ve poured my heart and soul into this project. And it wasn’t just to create another website. It was to build a platform that:

Ever felt like your voice isn’t being heard? Take a moment and consider these:

Informs Voters – Knowledge is power, especially when you’re about to cast your vote.

Engages with Candidates – Let’s get to know them, not from flashy ads but from their own words and commitments.

Holds Candidates Accountable – Promises are great, but actions? They speak louder.

You and I both know how crucial a well-informed electorate is for a thriving democracy. But, let’s face it, with the flood of information and sometimes misinformation, it’s challenging to find clarity. That’s where MyVotersGuide comes in.

The Reality is- Politicians Don’t Listen:

Ever felt like your voice isn’t being heard? Take a moment and consider these:

While 83% of Americans support background checks, our representatives seem to turn a blind eye, even when 48,000 Americans die of gun wounds each year.  source

And did you know, 64% of us want the wealthy to chip in more? Yet Congress continues to cut taxes for the wealthy. In 2018 Amazon grossed $11 Billion and got a $164 million tax refund.  Amazon’s founder, Jeff Bezos? He paid $0 in taxes that same year. Politicians are not listening to us, but they do listen to Bezos. source 1, source 2

So, How Do We Make a Change? It Starts with a Click.

All you need to do is click.  Click on the candidates you like and support.  Show them you are paying attention and that we can hold them accountable.

Require Candidates to commit. Candidates who complete our non-partisan questionnaire- take note and be sure to consider their choices when selecting candidates.

Commitments made, commitments broken? It’s not just about making commitments. We’ll track who walks their talk as they seek re-election.  They don’t stand by their word, you shouldn’t stand by them.

You hold the power to elect responsive politicians who represent you: We’ll keep you informed. You’ll know who kept their word and who… well, didn’t.

This site isn’t just a tool; it’s a movement. A movement that believes in cutting through the noise and highlighting genuine, honest candidates. Candidates who listen to us, the voters.  But we need you to do your part.  Elections are often won by 3 or 4 percent.  If we can cut through the noise and build a group of voters who are knowledgeable and stand up to the lies and special interest groups, we not only change Ohio, we change our nation.

Turn a blind eye to those glossy mailers and distracting TV ads. Let our representatives know that we’re watching, and we’re voting with purpose.  You demand commitment and you demand accountability.  It’s high time they value us, the voters, more than their donors.  And it all starts with a click.

Hello! My name is Mark, I'm a Berea resident and owner of the Law Office of Mark Dent. I’ve been preparing estate plans since 2003 when I served in the Army as a JAG Attorney. I’m a graduate of Ohio Northern Law School and have bachelor's degrees in both Political Science and Computer Science. My wife and I enjoy running 5ks and exploring the Metro Parks. I am located around the corner from Dick’s Bakery, which I blame for my poor run times and an extra 5 pounds around my midsection. Unfortunately, their donuts are some of the best Ohio has to offer!
